The Bribie Island RSL Fishing Club normally holds a
BBQ on the last Sunday of every month, but this particular month was just a bit more serious.
The afternoon started with our annual Bare
Foot Bowls Competition which is usually a very
friendly atmosphere but judging from the look of
concentration on some of our competitors' faces, there may have been a few sheep stations at risk.
Thank you to Kevin and Trevor for their help in
teaching our newcomers all about the bias on the
balls… not that it did much good. It was pretty funny
watching the looks on their faces as for some reason
the ball rolled the opposite way.
As the afternoon continued the bowling seemed to
become a little more skillful with some of the girls
showing the boys how it should be done .
