Catch and Release
Some club members may wish to catch and release their fish and this is encouraged to preserve fish stocks. Also, releasing a fish quickly, rather than keeping it alive for possibly hours, will enhance the possibility of its survival.
In these circumstances a member fishing with another financial Club member (including a relative/family member) may weigh the fish immediately after capture and record the weight, enter it into a club weigh sheet, initial the entry and have it witnessed by the financial member (including a relative/family member) in the boat prior to releasing the fish, provided the fish is photographed against a measure and presented as proof of capture. All photograph properties include a date and time stamp.
However, if the witness was a relative/family member, that fish is ineligible for a club record.
